Volunteering is HUGE on my priority list, especially in raising children and teaching them the importance of always contributing. And that a need is always there for us all to help out with.

My volunteer background is extensive, ranging from assisting a Kindergarten teacher while I was in High School, to helping with Special Olympics in college. Being interested in the mental health field I helped in a home for teen residences.... I also considered a legal and court supported career so volunteered with abused children and their families for a time....

I also have worked a lot with kids, as a camp counselor, a coach (soccer, softball) and as a tutor/mentor in the schools.

Currently, I love my volunteer position for the Women's Center through the YWCA in Bellevue for single homeless women on the Eastside and my family and I volunteer for the Seattle Humane Society as a foster family for (primarily) kittens and their nursing moms who need recovery space.

Was single, independent and self sufficent for many yrs (married late).

Wife now of 15 yrs (what an adjustment and change).

Mom of two wonderful daughters, 11 and 9 yrs old
(another major adjustment).

Recently acquired “middle age” status! :) .. (what an adjustment that's been) ..

Love traveling, sports, outdoors, camping, kids, animals, adventure.

Have lived in the Seattle area for 40+ yrs.

Also lived in Hawaii, Alaska, Chicago and the Midwest.

Been a stay at home Mom, have worked part time and been office manager for husbands home based business.
